Refunds

Summary of our Refund/Release Policy

Fall 2011 teams
Full refund if child not placed on a team.  No other refunds given, for any reason.

Summer 2012 U13+ teams
The refund policies below are applicable to those who registered for the July 31 tryouts for U13+ teams, and/or who were placed on teams in August.

If a player is not placed on a team, player will be refunded all fees paid except the $50 tryout/admin fee, which is never refundable, even if the player did not attend the tryouts.

If a player declines team placement on a timely basis, a refund may be requested before September 9, 2011.  Send an email to the coach, indicating that your player is declining the placement, and ask the coach to approve the refund.  The coach will forward your email to the Jim Friedel, who will process the refund.  The Club will retain $50 tryout/admin fee, and refund the rest of the registration fee.

After September 9, 2011, refunds will only be considered for uncontrollable events (relocation of more than 50 miles, season-ending injury, etc.).  Email the refund request to the Girls or Boys Director.  If the Board approves the refund request, the player will receive half of the registration fee, after subtracting the $50 administrative fee.  (To illustrate: if you paid $250, with the Board’s approval you would receive $100.)

On or after March 1, 2012: No refunds will be given, for any reason.

Summer 2012 U09-12 teams:
Full refund if child not placed on a team.  No refund given if child placed on a team but then declines the placement.  After registrations close, but before March 2, 2012, partial refund will be considered for season-ending injury or relocation over 50 miles.  On or after March 1, 2012, no refunds will be given for any reason.

Transfer to another club
After September 9, 2011, players are “bound” to Valley United according to MYSA rules. Valley United will only allow a player to transfer to another club if that player will be joining a team that has a higher competitive division than a team that Valley United can offer the player. (For example, a move from a Valley United C3 team to another club’s C1 team will be approved.)  Although such transfers will be approved, a refund will not be given.
