Do not submit for a background check until you have been selected to help with a team. The Boys or Girls director will contact you when it is time to submit for a background check.
To volunteer to help with a team, you start by indicating your interest in one of the following ways:
After you have been selected to help with a team, we will notify you to submit for a background check. MYSA requires a current background check for every adult on the team roster (coach, assistant coach, or manager). To help us control costs, make sure that you need to submit for a background check:
DO YOU NEED A BACKGROUND CHECK?
FALL TEAMS: Every adult working with a fall team must submit an fresh request using the online link below. The background check for the prior summer season is no longer valid.
SUMMER TEAMS: If you worked with a Valley United team in the fall, you do not need a new background check for the upcoming summer.
MULTIPLE TEAMS: A single background check covers you for helping with 2 or more Valley United teams.
MULTIPLE CLUBS: MYSA requires you to have a current background check with each club. So if you are coaching for Valley United and Dakota Rev, you must submit for a background check with each club's code.
TO SUBMIT FOR A BACKGROUND CHECK
Please do NOT submit for a background check unless you have been told to do so by the Boys or Girls Director. If you want to help with your child's team, your first step is to talk to your child's head coach.
