VLY15 (Johnny Cake Stadium) locked or lights not on

You should expect that a City employee has unlocked the field before you arrived, and the lights should be turned on about 20 minutes before dusk.  If this doesn't happen, follow this sequence:

1)  Call the AV on-site field supervisor: 952-953-2348. This number calls the office, located about 150 yards east of the Stadium gate, in the center among the 5 baseball diamonds. If the phone is not answered, the supervisor is somewhere around the complex.

2) Have someone walk over to the office. If the supervisor hasn’t come back, ask the snack bar worker whether he/she is familiar with the light operation for JCRP C.

3) Call AV Parks & Rec office at the AV Community Center at 952-953-2300.  The employee there may know the status of the field supervisor.

4) Call Jef Dawson, the Club's volunteer field director:  651-402-1551 (cell)

VLY43 (Quarry 8) lights not on

2) Before May 15, or if no one answers the Quarry Point cell phone, call the supervisor office at Johnny Cake East: 952-953-2348. The office is located about 150 yards east of the Stadium gate, in the center among the 5 baseball diamonds.

3) Call the AV Parks & Rec office at the AV Community Center: 952-953-2300. The employee there may know the status of the field supervisor.

4) Call Jef Dawson, the Club's volunteer field director at 651-402-1551 (cell)

Player injury with insurance claim

If a player has been injured at a game, practice, or other soccer event organized by Valley United or the team, then...

1) ACCIDENT REPORT.  Unlike a corporate environment, we don't need a coach/manager to complete an accident report.  Neither Valley United nor VAA has such a report.

2) INSURANCE.  Through the fees paid to MYSA, Valley United players are covered by secondary insurance that MYSA purchases each year.  Key points to note about this insurance:

  • Try to file the claim within 30 days of the accident, even if the bills have not yet arrived.
  • This insurance isn't great, because of the limitations: it is secondary insurance (it pays AFTER your first insurance pays); it has a $500 deductible per accident; and it has a $2000 limit.

Please let the injured player's parents know about this, and give them this link this section of our website.

To the Parents of an injured player:
Here's a link to the MYSA page that gives you instructions on how to file a claim: http://www.mnyouthsoccer.org/about/mn_claim_eng.pdf

If you attempt to use this MYSA-paid insurance, afterward please let the Club president know about your experience. We'd like to know so we can give feedback to MYSA.  Thank you.

Biffy unavailable

If the biffy (portable toilet) is not available and up-to-snuff, help the city by giving them a call.  For Apple Valley parks, call 952-953-2300.
